Who We Are
Joshua Colby,
MA, LPC, CAADC, CCS, ACS
Joshua Colby is a Licensed Professional Counselor who works with individuals ages 14 and older, specializing in the treatment of PTSD, anxiety, depression, substance use, and relationship challenges. With a compassionate and client-centered approach, Josh provides a safe space to explore personal struggles and work toward meaningful change.
Josh utilizes evidence-based therapies including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), and Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART), tailored to each individual’s needs. He also integrates supportive listening, existential therapy, and Gottman-informed techniques to foster deeper connections and insights.
With extensive experience working with diverse populations, Josh is committed to supporting clients exploring their sexuality, navigating non-monogamous relationships, those questioning or transitioning from religious beliefs, and individuals involved in the criminal justice system. He values each client’s unique journey and provides a nonjudgmental, inclusive environment for personal growth.
What sets Josh apart is his focus on practical strategies for change within a framework of acceptance and curiosity. Rather than striving for perfection, Josh works alongside clients to address their concerns, empowering them to become their own therapists. Ultimately, his goal is to help clients feel equipped to thrive independently, often reaching a point where therapy is no longer needed.
